Established in 2017 by Steven Newbatt-Macdonald, The Farsley Cake Co brings together both quality ingredients and knowledge, creating truly exquisite artisan products including our multi-award winning celebration cakes, traybakes, legendary scones, and of course our mini loaves of love.

 

We liaise with our customers to ensure they receive the exact item they require, whether this means changing designs, size or even the recipe to suit their needs. Gluten, dairy & egg free & vegan varieties are always available.

We support both local and national food producers, however due to the many ingredients required to create our products, a limited number of ingredients are sourced outside of the United Kingdom from fair-trade accredited suppliers.

Awards

We are always humbled to receive an award, whether these be for our products, ethos or social media presence. past awards include market me & king of awards.

​

In 2019 we were awarded 2 gold stars in the Great Taste Awards for our rich fruit cake, this is available all year round and great accompanied by butter, cheese or on its own.

​

We are also proud to have won Small Business Sunday (#SBS) in conjunction with Theo Paphitis.

​

In 2020, we have grown from strength to strength, we have become finalists in both the SME National Business awards and The White Rose Awards. 

​

In 2022, 2023 and 2024 we we finalists in the IDo wedding awards, being awarded Wedding Cake designer of the year for Yorkshire and The Humber in 2023.

​

in 2023 we were awarded an international wedding cake designer aware for the UK, later going forward and winning a Global award at the same awards.

Our partners

We pride ourselves on working closely with our partners, whether they be suppliers, producers or stockists of our products. we believe in supporting independent British businesses including local suppliers of produce including fruit, free range eggs & flour.

 We have worked alongside several production companies including Sister Productions (Better), Love Productions (The Great British Sewing Bee), BBC1 (Better).

​

Alongside our everyday comings and goings, we are always working on future collaborations with fellow artisans. 2024 being the year of Metz x The Farsley Cake Co with our award winning rich fruit cake and a delicious slab of Wensleydale from Metz.
